Litmuzey as it is called by employees and visitors is a special place – here are is keeping and saving words and letters. Museum employees called their mission to care for seamless and inseparable link between the world of literature and imagination and the real world of contemporaries. That is why there are always cultural and educational activities taking place.
The collection of the museum consists artifacts 1910-1930’s, including books with autographs, a unique personal correspondence of writers, magazines and newspapers with their comments, photos, personal items, original works of Kharkiv avant-garde artists, copies and original documents, which were deposited in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (among them a criminal case of Gnat Khotkevych, passport of Les Kurbas, etc.), signet of the organization “Vaplіte.” For experts and for city this collection has a special value, because in a particular period of our history – the 20th and early 30s of the twentieth century – Kharkiv was the center of the Writers of the Executed Renaissance period, and museum employees with their work are keeping their heritage for future generations.
