House of Scientists was established on the initiative of the All-Ukrainian Committee for scientists in 1924, and was a center of professional contacts – a kind of club – where the young and not only scientists could have thematic evenings, workshops and discussions. Today the building houses several offices of cultural organizations – the intellectual games club, children’s theater of fashion, the poetry club and other similar entities.
Earlier in the house lived a family of architect Beketov, who built this house as the family nest.
