Kharkov Circus is one of the oldest circuses in the Ukraine – Archival documents indicate that the first circus in special building was working in the 60s of the XIX century. In 1906 appeared in the city building of Grikke circus, which today is a training base for the preparation of Ukrainian Directorate circus performers and acrobats. The popularity of Circus was growing fast and it became clear that the Grikke circus not accommodate everyone anymore. Therefore, in 1966 construction on the new building of the circus began, and the first performance took place at his scene April 9, 1974. In Kharkov circus worked and still work great artists, clowns and animal trainers, and their popularity remains unchanged – tickets for circus performances sold out very quickly.
